Pool is one of the world's most popular sports. It can be played on a number of different sized tables. You need to be skilled at the game. There are many kinds of pool. However, eight ball pool and continuous pool are the most popular. These games require skill and can either be played solo, in pairs or as a group sport.

The object of the game is to get all designated balls. This includes cue balls, eight-balls and other object ball. Each player gets one pocket at the bottom of the table. They continue until they foul, miss, or both. A foul means that the player must return the ball to the cue ball and attempt a new shot. There are a variety of fouls that can occur, such as a break, hitting the cue ball into an object ball, committing an illegal break, and executing a jump shot.

The official pool rules are the World Standardized Rules. They are used in many international tournaments and organizations, as well as by the Billiard Congress of America. When a foul is committed, the ball that was pocketed must be put back on and the opponent's ball pocketed by the cue ball counts as a point for the opponent.

Eight-ball has one goal: to find the black eight ball. Depending on the variant of the game, other balls will be numbered from 1 to 9. If a player takes the ball out of his pocket, he wins.

A normal foul is penalized with a minus point. The penalty for a normal foul is a minus one. The player may decide to return to the same position as before the foul by taking his next shot. He may choose to keep his shot, and if his opponent places a ball in his pocket, he will be awarded a point.

Another type is the ball and hand foul. This happens when a person touches the cue ball while not having their foot on the ground. Before taking a shot, the player must announce which pocketed ball he or she has. The ball that was pocketed during foul play must be positioned as close to the feet spot as possible.

Before taking the next shot, the player who has committed two fouls consecutively must be warned. Unless the player agrees to a penalty, the third foul will result in a loss of the game. For example, if the player breaks in the first inning, he or she will be given a minus score of -10.

A non-player interfering foul is another form of foul. Non-player interfere is defined as the case where the ball is pushed or bumped against an opponent or an unscheduled lamp fixture. Non-player interference is not considered if the ball gets pocketed in the course, or as a foul.
