8-ball
The rules for eight-ball pool are different from those used in professional pool games. These rules are not intended for professionals, but the average player. Color-based racking is not allowed in the eight-ball game. The 8 ball must be the first of the three middle balls in this game. However, most people choose to put the one in front. You lose a turn if you throw a wrong ball. It is not necessary to call straight-in shots, or touch a rail while taking a shot.

Double tap
Double tapping, in bar pool rules, refers to the ability to double tap on an item ball by positioning the ball close to it and aiming for it. A cueball is within an inch of an object ball if it is less than 12 inch. It is also known by the name "sharking".
Assigning solids to stripes
A common way to define the style of a game is to assign solids and stripes to bar pool rules. Solids and strips are two types of pool game. Players use a cueball to call most shots in a game 8 ball.
Official pool rules also prohibit hitting opponent's objectball first. A player who has a striped ball in their pocket ends their turn. A double hit is also when the player hits the cue balls twice in one stroke. This is called a foul.
Etiquette
There are many rules that apply to pool playing at a pub. Each bar will have its own rules. Ask before you play. Ask if there will be any special rules for the next game. If there are any, it's best to respect those rules and play by them. This way, everyone can enjoy the game without causing any harm.

Remember that "dirty pool" is not an option in the WPA's official rules. Smart pool is a shot that isn't dirty. However, some people consider defensive shots dirty. Likewise, some people consider shots that are intentionally scratched as unethical.
