Dafabet Rejoices as World Pool Masters Title Sponsor

Dafabet will be once again the title sponsor for the World Pool Masters. Dafabet, an online sports betting site, is a partner to a number of prominent sports brands, such as Celtic FC (Norway City FC), Warwickshire County Cricket Team and Warwickshire County Cricket Team. Dafabet also sponsors the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It previously served as title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2019.

Gibraltar will host the 2020 World Pool Masters. It will feature 24 of the best players in the world and a $100,000 prize pool. Tickets for the tournament will go on sale on Monday, December 9 to Matchroom Pool Club subscribers and on Tuesday, December 10, to the general public. David Alcaide last year was the champion and will be defending his title against a top-notch field of players.

Dafabet World Pool Masters

Dafabet has extended its title sponsorship deal for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will take places in Gibraltar 22-25 May 2019. The company was a title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2018. Dafabet has also signed other sponsorship deals. The company has previously partnered with La Liga football tournament, as well as the Sussex cricket side Durham.

Dafabet World Pool Masters (a nine-ball pool tournament) is an international competition. It is the most prestigious event of its kind and has raised the amount of prize money for each year's winner. The prize money for this year's event was $100,000. David Alcaide of Spain won the tournament. In the final, Alcaide beat Greek Alexander Kazakis by double the final ball's length. In the previous year's event, Niels Feijen reached the final by defeating Shane Van Boening. David Alcaide was also defeated during the first round.

Joshua Filler

A German pool player from Bonen, Joshua Filler, is making waves in the world of professional pool. Filler, 21, has won the China Open title and the European Pool Championships 10-ball. He is the youngest player to win either one of these competitions. He is the youngest person to win the European Pool Championships.


Filler began playing the sport at seven years of age and was already competing at the National level. Filler made his Mosconi Cup debut at twenty-five and represented Europe at that event. After his Mosconi Cup appearance, he went on to win the China Open 9-ball tournament and the ten-ball European Pool Championship. He won his first ever world championship the next year by defeating Italian Carlo Biado. In addition to the World Pool Masters title, he won the Mosconi Cup and the World Cup of Pool. He also won the US Open Pool Championship.

Lo Hosum

Lo Ho-sum is the first Hong Kong pool players to reach the World Pool Masters final. He is still relatively unknown outside his home country despite his recent success in the sport. Lo was a wild-card participant in the Gibraltar tournament and won a series of matches to reach final. He defeated Shane Van Boening in the quarterfinals but lost to Joshua Filler in the final. The pair tied at six-all before Lo's heroics came to an end.

The World Pool Masters nine-ball competition is held every other year to find the best pool players. The first event was held in Europe. It has now been expanded to include players coming from all parts of the globe. Lo has a great professional record, and has maintained a top ranking throughout his entire career.

Francisco Sanchez Ruiz is the winner of the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. His victory over Max Lechner was 13-10. This win elevates Sanchez Ruiz to the top of the Live Nineball World Rankings. In addition, it earns him $50,000 in first prize. Sanchez Ruiz becomes the first Spanish player in history to win one pool's oldest majors. Sanchez Ruiz's win also saw him surpass Shane Van Boening at the $100,000 mark.

Sanchez Ruiz had a lot of difficult moments against Filler. He managed to overcome his initial nerves after making two consecutive racks. Sanchez Ruiz took a three point lead over Filler, but he was able to hold on for a two-rack buffer.
