Walter Tevis' classic "The Hustler" is another. This movie was originally a short story, but it eventually became a 1961 billiards-blazing movie. Its success launched a billiards revival, and the movie has been credited with the resurgence of the sport.

The Baltimore Bullet, "The Color of Money" and "The Baltimore Bullet are other noteworthy pool movies. Both movies are good, but the latter is better. The Baltimore Bullet's Willie Mosconi is also featured in "The Baltimore Bullet", which has been inducted into The BCA Hall of Fame.

Another notable trick shot in the film is the "goodbye Johnny” and the “Do It for the Game.” The first one is a way to show how a bank can be used by a player. The second is clever and teaches a player how you can play a shot of billiards. It isn’t mentioned in this movie.

There are many other movies with a billiards theme. There are also a few comedy-based pool movies. There are also movies that are completely about the sport. Even the film "Billy the Kid and the Green Baize Vampire", is set around a snooker tournament.
